Serving Up Support for the Employee Flood Relief Fund

Child Support Services is nearing its goal of raising $2,000 to help employees impacted by recent flooding with the Coffee Break Challenge.

The department’s executive team found a way to fuel mornings with warmth and generosity by providing coffee at each of its locations through March 14, giving staff a chance to donate to the County Employees’ Charitable Organization (CECO) Flood Relief Fund to support our fellow workers who experienced damage caused by the Jan. 21-23 storms.

They’re getting closer to their goal, collecting more than $1,300 in just three days.

Approximately $100,000 in grant funds have been requested from CECO and there is still time to raise these much-needed funds.

Try your own Coffee Break Challenge, Pie in the Eye, or another creative fundraising idea and share a photo and details so we can highlight it on InSite! Donating is easy and it’s tax deductible.

You’ll be helping employees like these:

“My whole downstairs was flooded, everything was ruined, and my car was totaled.”

– County employee

“Water was almost 5 feet high and filled the entire home… everything will have to be rebuilt.”

– County employee
