Meet Dustin Ivers. In addition to his work as a group program manager with the Office of Emergency Services, Ivers has a lot of hobbies including surfing, snowboarding, running mountain marathons, drawing and playing guitar. Watch more InService videos.
Meet Liki Porotesano, a community health program specialist with Office of Child and Family Strengthening. In addition to his passion to serve the community, he loves reggae. Watch more InService videos.
Meet Dominic Anson. In addition to his work as a preventative maintenance coordinator with Public Works, Anson loves playing with his 2-year-old son and going camping and fishing. Watch more InService videos.
Meet Maci Guzman, an epidemiologist with Public Health Services. In addition to her work with disease data analysis and surveillance, Guzman is a runner and loves gelato. Watch more InService videos.
Meet Amanda Garcia, a student worker with Health and Human Services Agency. In addition to her work with Live Well San Diego, Garcia loves being outdoors, travel and her best friend Molly.
Meet Maribel Onstott, an adult protective services supervisor with Aging and Independent Services. In addition to her service to the community, Onstott has 12 pets and visited Maine because she is a huge Stephen King fan.
Meet Morris Lazard, a human services specialist with California Children’s Services. Lazard says “helping others really recharges my batteries.”
Meet Sara Nielsen, a librarian at La Mesa Library. In addition to her work at her childhood library, she plays the ukulele and has a magic key to Disneyland.
Meet Karla Lopez, an administrative analyst with the Department of Child Support Services. In addition to her work with the finance team, Lopez is an avid reader and a proud Jaguar and Aztec.
Meet Teresa Rogers-Marsh, an in-service education coordinator for the County’s Edgemoor Skilled Nursing Facility. She loves her work, but she is also planning her retirement in the next four to five years and she loves kayaking, camping and hiking in her free time.
Meet Roberta Leash, the tribal liaison for the County in the Office of Sustainability and Environmental Justice. In addition to her work to create meaningful relations with tribal governments in the region, she volunteers as a flag football coach and love spending active time with family.
For Valentine’s Day we have a special InService video. Meet Rosangela Gomez, a recordable documents specialist with the Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk. In addition to her work helping residents with documents including marriage licenses, she loves 90s music and has two cats.
Meet Leon Wirschem, an environmental health specialist with Environmental Health & Quality. Recently he was called out to assist with flood debris removal following the Jan. 22 storm.
Meet Dana Davis, assistant division chief with Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk. Davis usually serves customers at the County Administration Center, but was supporting flood victims at the Local Assistance Center in Spring Valley this week. Learn more about her job.
Meet Jon Aasted, a human resources analyst. In addition to his work as a recruiter, he is a Navy reservist, two-time cancer survivor and does Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Meet Michael Jones, a program specialist with Health and Human Services. In addition to his work with the Eligibility Training Center, he collects action figures and Lego sets, and loves to travel.
Meet David Fernandez, the chief of Fleet Services in General Services. In addition to managing 4,500 vehicles in the fleet, he is a veteran, listens to punk rock music and has traveled the world.
Meet Senior Data and Research Analyst Christian Jo, with the Office of Evaluation Performance and Analytics. In addition to his work which guides and provides insight for program and policy decisions, he loves competitive hip hop dancing and rock climbing.
We met 50 incredible employees through the InService this year. The video series, which features a different employee each week, is a celebration of everyone who makes the County work.
We met Environmental Health Specialist Jeff Arsua, Senior Public Health Nurse Felicia Nassif, Supervising Animal Control Officer Talia Padilla and Paralegal Trac Pham and so many more employees.
