County employees joined the annual San Diego NAMI Walks and Mental Wellness Expo on Saturday, April 27. The free event, organized by the National Alliance on Mental Illness in partnership with the County’s Health and Human Services Agency, kicks off Mental Health Matters Month which happens every May.

Julian Library’s new community room opens in May! The County’s General Services Department shared this photo of the 2,900 square foot expansion. The entire red door section is the expansion. It can be split into two rooms and has additional restrooms for visitors.

Your View: County's View of Solar Eclipse

County employees gathered outside County buildings around 11 a.m., with eclipse glasses in hand, to catch a glimpse of a solar eclipse that occurred on Monday, April 8.

A total solar eclipse crossed North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. A solar eclipse is visible when the moon passes between earth and the sun, blocking the image of the sun for a viewer looking up.
