Santee Library

From customer Susan Barton via social media regarding the Santee Library:

"Wonderful library with a terrific staff, especially Cheryl. The location is super easy to get to and has a tremendous amount of resources. If you want the book on your Kindle, in large print, or just waiting for the latest book from your favorite author... this is the place to go. Take a look at the story time and book club offerings, as well as the special events (today was a Luau)."

Department of Environmental Health

From Tina Douglas, San Dieguito Union High School District from customer service feedback via email:

"I am compelled to send you an email regarding the level of service that Zana provided to me this afternoon. I needed some assistance in CERS. Being new to the district, let alone, the day to day operations of risk management and not having used CERS before, I reached out to Zana for help. Not only did she offer assistance and explained to me the why when I asked her questions, she stayed on the phone with me for 1 1/2 hours talking me through each section of CERS! Customer service is a dying art, but I have to tell you that I have regained some faith after my conversation with her. She made my week and has lifted a burden from my shoulders and I'm grateful. Too many times we get bogged down by the negative and the things that aren't happening well. I wanted to take the time to share some positive. Thank you again Zana for all of your time and assistance this afternoon. I truly do appreciate it!"

Andee Monexay, Department of Child Support Services

From a custodial parent regarding Andee Monexay, a child support officer at the DCSS South Region Live Well Center in National City:

“Andee is my case manager for child support. I just wanted to acknowledge her because she is doing such a wonderful job. There is not much we can do about the non-custodial parent because he is giving us a hard time, but her attitude about helping me is everything! I’m so grateful to have her working my case. I wish there was more people like her. She makes me so very comfortable, and I know she is working hard to do everything she can do with my case. I thank you, her and everyone else to have people like her. I just wanted to acknowledge the good work Andee is doing.”

Department of Environmental Health

From the Coronado Fire Department and Police Department to DEH regarding the 25th Annual Public Safety Open House:

"This year’s event was enjoyed by thousands of local and county residents.  The kids had a great time playing and learning about safety. Surely all who attended gained valuable information.

We want to express our gratitude and appreciation for your assistance and flexibility dealing with the wet weather. Without your help this day of education, prevention and fun would not be the same. We recognize the commitment and energy you put forth, and your efforts are much appreciated.

Thank you so much for sharing your time and your enthusiasm with our community."

Department Agriculture, Weights and Measures

From an email to the Department of Agriculture, Weights and Measures:
"Hi! This note is to thank you for your recent investigation into some issues I’d had at the 99c Store in Mira Mesa. You called me prior to entering the business, then let me know when you had completed your inspection. Although I wasn’t home, you kindly left a message on my machine. When I returned your call, you patiently answered all of my questions and concerns. Wow! It’s very impressive—in this day and age—to receive such personalized service from someone working for a government agency. In most cases, one is lucky to even be able to reach a “ live” person. Day after day you go out into the field as a champion/hero for “the little guy” to make sure the citizens of San Diego don’t get taken advantage of by businesses overcharging unsuspecting customers. That task alone must take up much of your day. Yet, you still manage to find the time to personally contact individuals to follow up on complaints—very impressive AND very much appreciated. Again, thank you.
P.S. Bureau of Weights and Measures, you are a unique and awesome agency. Keep up the good work/fight."

Irene Hubbard, Department of Child Support Services

"Just thinking about our conversation the other day... I sure hope you know what an impact you have made on my life. Thank you for the encouragement!  Though your job may have moments of feeling thankless...Please let me thank you for all you have done for us.”

Brit Colanter - HHSA, PHS

From a customer service online survey regarding Brit Colanter, an epidemiologist in Public Health Services.

"Thank you so much for taking the time to put together the data. The student and myself appreciates this greatly. I understand how busy you are but are still willing to take the time to help support students with the learning process. This allows for a great way to show accessibility to science for the students. As a parent volunteering, thanks so much! [Brit] was very helpful and willing to look into the data. Such a great service to the community."
