Happy Employee Appreciation Day to the County Team

CTO Update: Remote Access Changes Occurring

Pulse Secure is going away. All County employees will need to replace their Pulse Secure virtual private network application, which allows secure access to County computer systems and data when off the County network.

The County Technology Office (CTO) is rolling out this move to Enterprise Application Access or EAA in phases this month. If you have not already set up EAA, keep your eyes open for an email with details on how and when you will need to switch.

Pulse Secure VPN accounts will be removed from County users by March 31.

For more information, contact CTO Security CTOSecurity@sdcounty.ca.gov or your department IT manager.

Masks Not Required, But Strongly Recommended Indoors

Effective March 1, face coverings are no longer required for unvaccinated employees or members of the public visiting most County facilities. This announcement follows revised guidance by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).

Although not required, CDPH continues to strongly recommend that everyone wear a mask in indoor public settings, regardless of your vaccination status.

Certain high-risk settings will continue to require that everyone wear face coverings. These include health care, long-term care, and detention facilities, as well as transit hubs, cooling centers and emergency shelters.

For more information on vaccinations, visit coronavirus-sd.com.
